Bio

Ehsan Daneshyar is an Iranian–Canadian architect, academic, and researcher whose work focuses on vernacular architecture, housing, cultural landscapes, and material culture. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture at the Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design, where he also serves as Director of the Research Center and Editor of the ARUCAD Journal. He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from McGill University, where his research examined the material culture and symbolic meanings embedded in the vernacular architecture of Masulih, Iran. Dr. Daneshyar has published in high-impact international journals and conference proceedings, with recent research addressing urban agriculture, social sustainability, and design pedagogy within Mediterranean contexts. In addition to his academic work, he is an exhibiting artist, thesis supervisor, and active contributor to professional architectural discourse, bridging research, education, and creative practice.
