Bio
After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College, he continued his higher education at Hacettepe University, Department of Woodworking Industry Engineering, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He completed his doctoral studies in the same department, focusing on design.
He began his professional career at Tepe Holding, working in production, planning, R&D, sales, and management departments for both domestic and international companies. He lived and worked in Romania and Italy, and before establishing his own company, he served as General Manager at Yale Locks. Most recently, he worked for approximately 8 years at Siba Trade, a company he founded, providing consultancy services to domestic and international companies. He also founded Kelebek Furniture UK in England and served as its General Manager.
He began his academic career as a lecturer at Izmir University of Economics, and later worked as a lecturer at University of Essex-East Sussex College, City of London College, and Brooklands College in England. Currently, he is the Head of the Industrial Design Department at the Faculty of Design, Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Saltık, who has many works in the fields of furniture and design, has successfully blended his professional and academic life. He has visited over 50 countries, participated in trade fairs, provided consultancy to many domestic and foreign companies, worked on country and continent-based product and design projects, and integrated these studies into his academic work.
