Bio

Born in Nicosia in 1976, Mümine Özdemirağ Yağlı graduated from the Ceramics Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 1998. Between 1998 and 2003, she organized ceramic courses and exhibitions in Marmaris and produced works for public spaces. She began her master’s studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and completed them at Near East University, where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Art and Design with a focus on Lapithos ceramics.

Since 2009, the artist has been producing works in her studio in Çatalköy that explore themes of memory, identity, and cultural heritage. In 2017, she joined the Ceramics Department of Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design as a full-time lecturer, continuing her teaching alongside academic research. Her works are included in numerous public and private collections in Cyprus and abroad.
