Marjan Alikhanzadeh is an urban designer and planner with academic and professional experience in architecture, urban planning, social sustainability, and placemaking. She is currently a PhD researcher in Architecture at Cyprus International University, where she also worked as a teaching assistant in Architecture and Urban Design courses and as a senior instructor in the Department of Agriculture and Plant Science.

She earned her Master’s degree in Urban Design from Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran (IRAN) and her Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Design (Urbanism Engineering) from Art University of Isfahan (IRAN). Her academic background is complemented by professional experience with consulting engineering firms, where she contributed to urban master plans, detailed development plans, and marginal settlement regeneration projects.

Her work integrates design, research, and community engagement, with a strong emphasis on cultural identity, public space quality, and socially responsive urban environments. She has also been involved in tourism-oriented urban regeneration projects and campus landscape design initiatives.
