Bio

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salar Salah Muhy Al-Din is an Engineer/architect, sustainability scholar, and editor specializing in thermal comfort, sustainable building design, and climate-responsive architecture. He holds a PhD in Architecture from Girne American University, an MSc in Sustainable Architecture from Bharaty Vidyapeeth University (India), and a BEng in Civil/Surveying Engineering from the University of Baghdad. He is currently a faculty member at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) in Northern Cyprus, teaching postgraduate and undergraduate design, technology, and sustainability courses. His research is published in leading Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals such as Sustainability, Buildings, and Atmosphere, focusing on thermal comfort, passive design, and energy efficiency in hot and Mediterranean climates. Dr. Muhy Al-Din is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Salutogenic Architecture and has received Best Paper Awards at ICCAUA international conferences.
